This GuestHouse is nestled in Ua Pou, on the flowery rock of the Marquesas Islands, just 200 metres from the village of Hakahau. You'll be staying in the Fare Familial, between the sea and the mountains, in a calm and relaxing environment. You'll enjoy unrestricted panoramic views over the beach, the harbour, the village, the valley and the famous rocky peaks in the centre of the island. As a guest of Le Fare, you will have free access to the communal areas, which include a garden, a very large terrace with tables and chairs, a library area, the swimming pool and the jacuzzi.

LE FARE :
The Family Fare with its spectacular view of the island's mythical peaks can accommodate up to 7 people. This bungalow perched on stilts has a triple bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and private bathroom facilities. An open-plan, flexible area completes the first bedroom, with 4 adjacent single beds, two showers and two separate toilets. This area is ideal for a family or group of people.
Both areas are equipped with fans and have access to a terrace offering panoramic views of the peaks of Ua Pou and Hakahau Bay.
Le Fare has no kitchen, but the price includes half board (breakfast and dinner). You can enjoy seasonal Marquesan specialities in the restaurant on the terrace.

UA POU Land of adventure :
Incredible adventures await you, and your host will be able to book a tailor-made programme of activities for you: guided hikes: La Traversière, Pic de Poumaka or the Boucle de Hakamoui.
Half-day or full-day 4x4 safari tours: the Hohoi Valley, including the Mauia archaeological site and the beach of flowering stones. Discovery of Hakahetau: Shark Bay, landscapes and a stop at the waterfall. A visit to the Valley of the Chiefs in Hakamou'i Bay...
Visit to the villages of Haakuti and Hakamaii, meet the locals, see the different viewpoints and enjoy a meal of local specialities at Ti'Piero's in Hakahetau.
Half-day or full-day electric bike hire to explore the surrounding area.
Your host will be able to give you the best advice and put together the ideal itinerary for you.

THE BAR-LOUNGE, SWIMMING POOL AND JACUZZI :
A bar is available, where you can order and enjoy your favourite drinks, and you can get together for a convivial moment in the Lounge to enjoy an aperitif at the end of the day or simply to relax, read a book from the library...
The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are freely accessible and can be shared with the other guests in the GuestHouse rooms. Located on the terrace, with a breathtaking view of the island's peaks, the swimming pool is ideal for cooling off after a day of sightseeing, while the Jacuzzi is ideal for relaxing after a hike or bike ride, for example.

HOW TO GET TO UA POU :
By air from Tahiti, the inter-island airline Air Tahiti serves the destination by Twin Otter after a stopover in Nuku Hiva or Hiva Oa to change planes.
OR
By sea, by taking a taxi from Nuku Hiva or Nuku-a-Taha airport to Taiohae Bay, from where shuttle buses in bonitiers or speedboats provide a sea link between Nuku Hiva and Ua Pou. Allow 1 hour 30 minutes by taxi and 1 hour 40 minutes by sea. We can give you the contact details of the taxis and bonitier captains so that you can make the best possible arrangements.
It is now also possible to take the KAOHA TINI administrative shuttle, but beware, some of the rotations pass through Ua Huka and take much longer.
Once you arrive in Ua Pou, your host will arrange your transfer to your Fare, depending on whether you are arriving by air or sea.
